Great Yorkshire Morris

White rose

Great Yorkshire Morris were formed in 2005 by members of several local Morris sides. We practice on alternate Wednesdays (roughly) in Pool in Wharfedale, which is between Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.

We are a men's Morris side, performing a mixture of Cotswold and Longsword dances, with occasional forays into Border and Rapper styles.

Our next event is at The Horse and Farrier in Otley, on Wednesday 27th July from 8pm.

Folk Dancing for Fun

During November 2011, Great Yorkshire Morris and Briggate Women's Morris are holding another series of taster sessions for folk dance of different kinds, under the title Folk Dancing for Fun.
